Personalities

Judgment

Judgment lurks around and tells me I’m not good enough. He sits in the corner, usually keeping to himself, watching the others play around in the gym with a scowl on his face. He has neatly combed black hair and not much acne. He is just barely the tallest in our school and he would be fairly associated with Popularity if he didn’t drive them all away. He dresses in formal wear only and polishes his shoes daily. It could be said he aspires to be like Professional one day. He doesn’t have many friends, beside Gossip and Criticism, who by now, in high school, is used to being belittled. He thinks he’s the greatest and he constantly compares everyone to himself. Somehow, he is just so swell of a person; I wouldn’t be surprised if his parents were Jealously and Confidence. He always seems to hang out with Pain, and if I was Pain id stay away fro him. I Try to keep Uncertainty as far away fro him as possible, I don’t want him of feel like Defeat.

Judgment sits in the back of all his classes, to insure no one will Judge him, if you ask me, he’s probably related to Insecurity.  Intelligence, our teacher has no tolerance for his gossip, and she makes sure to put the kibosh on his speech. Judgment is despised by most of his peers and Acceptance doesn’t understand why he can’t just let people be who they are.

Judgment wants to build with Dictatorship. He wants to be in with Control. He wants everyone to feel unworthy of his being and he wants Perfection to be his Queen, after all, she is the only one he has nothing to say about. A place were society is modeled off of him would be miraculous, but intangible; How can you have a country based on Judgment, and have it not in a slaving state? There would be no freedom because everyone would be working on becoming more like him.

For now he will just sit, in the corner of the Gym, staring down Athleticism and Talent, secretly wishing he was like them, but he’ll never admit it.

Imagination

Imagination is the one who can both keep to herself and, be the center of attention. In all the classes I have with here she sits directly in the middle of the classroom. She sketches things, possible future inventions, maybe blueprints and even creatures. She’s not particularly talented but I enjoy looking over her petite shoulder and into her drawings of thing I cant comprehend.

She is extraordinarily fashionable and trendy, dressing herself with unique clothing and colorful scarfs. Her left are is encircled with bracelets and her hair is long and bouncy; going from a dark brown to a shade of purple. She wears high boots and her glasses sit so symmetrically over her greenish blue eyes that can stare right through you. When she walks he motion persuades me. It has a sense of fluency that, ponce caught in, draws you back to a simpler place so calm and peaceful. Her beauty is underrated because of her extroverted personality. Most people are put off with her friendly smile and sweet greetings. I guess people are just used to being scared. Scared of things that should be embraced.

As much as I like her, she doesn’t pay much mind to me. She occasionally smiles at me but we aren’t good friends. She might not have many friends; people tend to stray from things they don’t understand. I once say her at a park, alone lying in the grass with a plentiful smile on her face, looking toward the sky. Her pure sense of joy was alluring.  It makes me feel odd, but happy. She has such a noticeable aurora; she is sure to brighten your day.

For now I’ll just sit behind her in class, studying the lines she crafts and shapes she sculpts, over a shoulder.

Charm

Like most other girls in my school, Imagination has fallen victim to Charm. He doesn’t understand what power he actually has. He can carelessly strut throughout the hallway, and have dozens of girl stare at him with aw. He can have any girl he wants, I’m sure of it. It’s a shame he wants the only girl I want. I started hang out with Jealousy, maybe because he just knew how I was feeling.  I tried to get over it, but I felt a lot like Dependence.

Charm wears a nicely tailored suit to the most informal events. He has dark hair and mystifying eyes that change color with mood. He has perfect grades and he is tall and sometime wears glasses. Everything about him complements himself. He is definitely one of a kind.

Dandelion Wine discussion question answers

1.Dandelion wine apparently is a metaphor for memory. Memory is a force that shapes how people are later in life.
2. She feels as if Leo is ignoring his family. Because the machine showed them all the good things they wanted to do but will never be able to :c It makes the people sad as soon as hey leave the machine
3.It represents a battle ground between the people and nature. It shows how something is unexplored, and so dormant when it is so close to the town.
4. No she s really stupid if she believes she didn't or does not have a past, because obviously ever human on Earth has had a pat regardless of what you think. I guess so.
5. Yes because that was the point of them keeping the record.
6. He is a shadowy serial killer who haunts the ravine at night. Yes she does. The boys are mad because there is nothing to fear anymore and they are in denial.
7.I guess he had like a heat stroke or something. Jonas gives him bottles of fresh air.
8. I guess it doesn't, he has a sequel called farewell summer, so it probably ends in that book. I think Bradbury really likes the summer.

Dandelion Wine

So this is where i became super confused. A mailman delivered some books of "magic" Clara. Mrs. brown is convinced that this is why or what is preventing him from winning the "Presidency of Honeysuckle". I have no idea what that even entails.I have no idea how this story went from fake lawns to building a happiness machine to some lady being accused of being a witch. So apparently it was just a random story that i guess Tom read and for some reason and told Douglas and they are just so amazed by the super relevant story and they're all like "magic and stuff? and they are entertained. Then tom claims that An awful lot f things are going on in their neighborhood. So I'm assuming that that wasn't a story, but it just happened in there town? I'm so confused.

Poverty: a documentary

This film is fairly interesting, however it had a troubled audio and is difficult to understand exactly what is happening because it has a lot of foreign language in in. The camera shots are, I guess standard. Lots of panning, and close ups, medium shots etc voice over images in a slide show deal, and I'm sure there was a close up panning of a still image in there somewhere. Not exactly my cup of tea, but its decent.

Mandatory school post: Somrthing Wicked this way Comes reaction

We are currently watching Something Wicked this was Comes and it is an interesting so far. I don't want to speculate on the plot to much, because we haven't finished watching it yet, which we will today. I will predict one this though, I think that Mr. Dark might be Jim's father. This is supported by many indications through out the film so far.

Edward Scissorhands: A Critque by Austin Hammond

Edward Scissorhands is a movie by Tim Burton starring Johnny Depp. In this dramatic romance, the main Character, Edward, Is discovered by Peg Boggs, (a cosmetic saleswoman) in the attic of a large mansion while she attempted to sell products. Edward at first is displayed as a monster with horrible Scissorhands but as he moves toward Peg, he is unmasked as a gently child who has been sheltered and secluded from the rest of the world, rendering him awkward and nearly incapable of human interaction. In contrast to Edwards inherited estate, which appears Dark and gloomy, the neighborhood below is bright and cheery, using bright paints and women wearing colorful summer dresses to create a sense of happiness and friendly people, partially creating a standard for society to yield by. Peg out of pity, takes Edward out of his groggy mansion and takes him to come live with her, and her family. However, the neighborhood group of women is suspicious of Peg’s new friend.

Edward is a tall character with black hair, pale complexion and dark, nearly Gothic attire. Compared to the rest of the neighborhood, Edward is far from normal, not even taking into consideration his hands, or scissors yet. As Edward begins his new life in Peg’s neighborhood, Edward slowly develops his personality. He is a modest and respectful person, who, despite his handicap, is incredibly talented. One day, Edward observes Peg's husband cutting the hedges in the back yard. Edward decides to help his with his chore creating a large dinosaur bush. Edward is becoming popular among the neighborhood and town. He soon shares his talent with the rest of the neighborhood and gives them each their own custom hedge art.

While he gained popularity he was falling in love with Pegs daughter, Kim. At first she viewed him as a monster, but eventually as a friend and even more, a lover. It is difficult to know exactly how Edward feels, since he barely talks during the film and his main form of communicating his emotions is through his eyes. Although his raising stardom, he is still very different from the rest of the neighborhood occupants. Kim's current boyfriend, Jim, persuades Kim to ask Edward help rob his house, which would allow Jim to buy a car with the money, while excusing him from blame of the robbery. In this scene it has Low-key lighting. This helps create a sense of suspense, but as they enter the house Jim takes a commanding lead. High contrast lighting is used to raise the importance of to actions taking place. They enter the house and Jim turns on the lights and knocks over his dad’s picture. This segment is shot with a low angle shot further increasing the dramatic scenario that is taking place. Edward is left after the alarm sounds and is caught and arrested. This starts Edwards social decline. The neighbor hood becomes uneasy with Edward lurking about and are now concerned for their own safety. As Edward experiences quilt and When Kim asked confronts Edward to try and help with guilt, he admits he knew what he was doing, and only did it because she asked.

Edward is now caught in a downward spiral. He is an emotional wreck and becomes depressed. He goes out into the yard and begins to make an ice sculpture. As he cuts away Kim stumbles into the yard and is standing in a shower of snow, something that apparently never happens in that neighborhood. Music starts to play as she dances in the snow and back lighting is used along side a low angle panning shot. This creates a dramatic, and somewhat romantic scene. Until, of course Jim startles him and he slips and cuts Kim's hand. The police is called again and Edward treats to his manor, leaving a path a destruction behind him. Kim follows him and eventually finds him in the attic. Unfortunately, so does Jim, and this time he has a gun. He attempts to shoot Edward but Kim pushes the gun away and he fires at the ceiling causing a collapse. Kim is thrown to the floor while Jim beats on Edward. Kim gatherers enough strength to hit Jim over the head with a piece of wood. This gives Edward enough time to get to his feet and he stabs Jim in the stomach and pushes him out of a window. Kim and Edward then hug and kiss and Kim tells Edward that he loves him. Then she tells him he has to stay in the house and hide from the town’s people. Kim exits with a prototype scissor hand she finds on the way out and she uses it to help convince that he is dead

After everyone leaves the estate and returns home, flash forward back to the scene of an old woman telling her daughter a story. The old woman is Kim and she indirectly tells her daughter that it was her who was in love with Edward. This creates a sense or understanding for the audience and leaves them with a sense of confliction that can often bring upon emotion. Edward Scissorhands is a dramatic romance film and i highly recommend it to all.

Religion : Mandatory school post: Research
- Religion is a concept created by man to explain what couldn't be explained by science at the time. It is the belief system that a group of people follow. There are thousands of religions world wide, the most popular being: Christianity with nearly 2.2 billion followers, Islam with about 1.3 billion followers and Hindu with 860 million followers.
- The Sumerians (who are known for being the first group of nomads to create the first civilization) were probably the first to create, or practice Religion, or "Systematic and organized spiritual practices". Sumerian religion is thought to be the basis on many other religions such as Akkadian, Babylonian, Judaic, Greek, Roman, Christian, and Muslim.
- Christianity started with Judaism. Judaism basically started When Hebrews Were enslaved by the Egyptians. Moses was one of these Hebrews and according to the Old Testament in the 2nd chapter of the Book of Exodus; Moses saw an Egyptian abusing a Hebrew. Moses became upset and killed the Egyptian. To escape execution, or punishment, He fled Egypt. according to the Old Testament God came down to Moses and told him to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.
- Today, religion is practiced by 84% of the world, and it isn't going anywhere. As long as science can't explain everything, and even then, Religion will be popular among the human inhabitants of Earth.

Chew on This: Mandatory school post

Chew on this by Eric Schlosser is basically a book that makes you not want to eat fast food, or meat really. Luckily for me, I am already a vegetarian, so some of the points in the book were already known by me. It was interesting hearing about the past and history of how each fast food franchise began. It was interesting to see how fast food started slow, and as it gained momentum, smaller franchises stemmed from the main franchise of McDonald's. It was interesting seeing how  Ray Kroc and Walt Disney were close friends when they were younger and basically grew up together, both got into business, and created vast fortunes for themselves and their companies.,This book sheds light on the darkness and secrets of fast food franchises and exposes them to the word through his book, Chew on this.

Edward Scissorhands

Edward Scissorhands: required school post
A common misconception about Edward Scissorhands is that his hands are scissors. He actually doesn't have hands he has a glove that i believe he puts on over a stump and each individual finger is a scissor, not just one big scissor each hand. If that was the case, the movie would probably be called Edward Hedge-clippers. However he is very good at making ice sculptures and hedge art with his scissors anyway
Directed b Tim Burton
Edward is Played by Johnny Depp
The film was released in 1990
Johnny Depp was in practically ever good movie ever, such as sleepy hollow, Charlie in the Chocolate factory, Alice in wonderland, Rango, pirates of the Caribbeans series and more
I love Johnny Depp, he is literally my favorite actor

Me

So this is my first legitimate post beside my introduction, and I will be talking about my main hobby.

-I am a mediocre skateboarder: I'd like to be better at it but, it is something I don't mind spending the majority of the day doing, and even though I'm not as skilled as my best friend Andrew; he taught me everything I know about skateboarding and I'm very grateful for him. I've since caught up with his progress but we make a good duo because we encourage each other to try new things and conquer scary obstacles (like a three stair). I'm very pleased with my progress in the skateboarding ladder of skill especially because I've only been skateboarding for a year, come May.

Also video games.
